Images by Swedish photographer Sune Jonsson:  And Time Becomes A Wondrous Thing
26/11/2011 to 07/01/2011
Frozen moments of time, not lost but passed, captured in black and white photographs by Sune Jonsson. Rarely shown in England, this mini-retrospective will give the audience a chance to acquaint themselves with his subject, Swedish rural life in the 1960s. Sune Jonsson mostly worked in the Västerbotten region, in the north of Sweden, but he also made brief visits to New York, Kongo Brazzaville and Prague.

Curated by Gaia Persico:  The near and the elsewhere
25/01/2012 to 17/03/2012
'The near and the elsewhere' is an exhibition based on current financial events and the global downturn, looking at failed spaces and abandoned architecture. It explores the constant upheaval of developing cities and the shrinking personal space available to their inhabitants. Combining photography, painting, film and installation, the exhibition focuses on the daily battles of metropolitan living and the defiant stands that the singular citizen makes against greater economic forces. EXHIBITING ARTISTS: Francis Al˙s, Sarah Beddington, James Casebere, Thomas Demand, Greg Girard, Gregor Graf, Noel Jabbour, Ferit Kuyas, Edgar Martins, Gaia Persico, Peter Piller, Sara Ramo, Rachel Whiteread, Michael Wolf, Cino Zucchi Architetti Gallery Tour - Saturday 11 February at 2pm

Curated by Rosemary Shirley:  Always Greener
04/05/2012 to 24/06/2012
'Always Greener: Views from the Contemporary Countryside' examines the reality that exists behind dreams of ‘a place in the country’. Through painting, drawing, photography, video and sculptural installation, the exhibition challenges modern preconceptions, exploring the countryside as somewhere that is constructed from powerful cultural, economic and political forces - as a place that exists in our imaginations as much as anywhere on the map. EXHIBITING ARTISTS: Georgina Barney with Alice Carey, Christina Bryant, The Caravan Gallery, Emily Cole, Andrew Cross, Anna Fox, James Ireland, Tim Machin, My Villages Gallery Tour - Saturday 16 June at 2pm

Anne Desmet RA:  Olympic Metamorphoses

'Olympic Metamorphoses' presents recent prints and engravings by Anne Desmet RA following the transformation of the London 2012 Olympic site. Particularly interested in the construction of the main Olympic Stadium and the Velodrome, Anne Desmet explores their circular forms from above and creating abstract map-like images layering together the different phases of development.

11/07/2012 to 02/09/2012

With the summer emphasis on the city of London, this exhibition presents the work 'London Unfurled' by acclaimed Italian artist and architect Matteo Pericoli who walked a total of100km, taking 6300 photographs to draw from, in order to complete the detailed drawings. The exhibition will be accompanied by film documenting the drawing process and an interactive app experience. Gallery Tour: Saturday 1 September at 2pm. Free - just turn up.

40 Years of Art Walking:  Walk On
27/03/2013 to 05/05/2013
The act of walking can serve many different purposes – negotiating everyday life, as a means to an end, or purely as an exercise to free up our imagination. ‘Walk On’ brings together artists who make works by undertaking a journey on foot, and this exhibition shows how walking has been the inspiration for artists over decades. Whether making a mark on the landscape itself or mapping and tracing daily journeys, the works in the exhibition share a common and simple starting point – the act of taking a walk.

A Sculptural Banquet:  The Secret Society
19/04/2013 to 09/06/2013
Casting directly from real objects, Kathy Dalwood inventively combines modern materials with the tradition of the plaster bust to create her unique sculptural characters. Their remarkable costumes – constructed from materials as diverse as model buildings, haberdashery and plumbing and electrical parts, as well as lace, fabrics, buttons and braids – reference classical and contemporary architecture whilst also displaying the influence of the world of extreme sculptural fashion. This large-scale installation in the Soane Suite at Pitzhanger Manor will see her characters enjoying a luxurious banquet, with everything from exotic fruits to decanters of wine transformed into bright white plaster.
