Shopping For Two

If the table was round i'd love it more.

And the trunked candles- too churchy against dark oak

He won't do curling into a ball on narrow benches.

Show me something with full winged -back chairs

And arms!

Love bleeds fiercer upon his sultry head

when hate's in the bones,

After all I may want this one to stay.
London 1882

A stray by the name of

Jock

But not a lost dog

He'd leap across the

lines

To the guards' vans visiting

Stations between London and

Brighton.

Late for his train stepping hopelessly

Through each line

his front leg became

trapped

And the express train squashed

It by moonlight.

The vet had to take it off.

At home little dogs can be

Wonderful company and

fantastic foot warmers.
After The Screams

She had her arm in plaster

and a black eye after the screams.

That little ferrett (her dog) tripped

me up at the top of the stairs,

Bounced down evey one I did,

can't even wipe my own arse now!

The dog blinks at her side while

her husband hides behind it.
Feeling Unloved

Eyes too close together tucked

Inside the thick white

Coat and your little nose

A black sun bobbing steadily

In the muffled darkness.

I'd be walking alone only

for you

- a million strides away from

A bewildering past.

Believe me I regret nothing

Except when i'm dressing.
