Mexican painter Carlos Laracilla, focuses on escapist abstract art. He has has a natural ability to embrace colour in such a sensitive way that he exposes the human emotion in a series of figurative images on the edge of chaos and movement. In his art creations, Larracilla involves fantasy as an element of escapism, leaving the viewer perhaps a little confused as to what will come next.
Like an urbane consequence drawing, his paintings contain bastard collaborations. In one of Larracilla's paintings, we see a figure made up of a woman and a giraffe, and in another, a medieval church tower is embodied with a shark. Moreover, it is not just individual paintings that reveal these disparities. Looking at a series of his works is like taking a short history tour of posters from the 1980s - yet it is also the history of great art.
