Born in Newbury, Berkshire in 1964 Evelyn Chambers currently lives and works in Kent, UK. "My style is largely expressionist and I am heavily influenced by the Fauves, German Expressionists and early Renaissance painters." She says. Her latest series of works hopes to explore the absurd and the surreal and was inspired by a visit to Prater Park in Vienna in the winter - an experience which she felt was both sinister and comic. Chambers' work has been exhibited in the UK in both group and solo exhibitions.
