Peter Nottrott creates gestural, abstract paintings in acrylic on canvas. Their abstraction borders on the figurative, in that their titles evoke pictures of ' things' in the viewer's mind. Emotions; energy, weather, clouds, seascapes. They are like 'extensions' of figurative works: paintings that have croseed over or exploded into pure, chromatic light energy.
