In the late eighties Kate Newlyn began making these wonderful gestural sculptures. Originally trained as a mime artist Kate spent time working in fringe theatre, were she specialised in mask work. Having then spent a number of years living and working in Greece, her work draws heavily on her experiences of both. Kate is now represented both abroad and in the UK.
