Villamil received his degree "Maestro en Bellas Artes - Painting-" From the "Facultad de Bellas Artes" Universidad Nacional in Colombia, Living in England for the past 10 years, he has acquired a Masters degree, worked in the film post- production industry and as an academic. He has also exhibited widely.
