Kay used to paint a lot, but since she discovered the hand printing press, her focus has shifted to etching. The artist loves portraying animals, which in her work become subjects to learn about, and you are under no illusion that they represent some general truths about human kind. It is not the first time that an artist has personalized animals and spoken through metaphor, but Kay's skilful use of visual humour and sub titles get the messages across.
