Born in Denmark in 1963 and currently living in Aalsgaarde, Denmark, Anne Vibake Lauridsen originally trained as a graphic illustrator. Having spent seventeen years working in the industry, Lauridsen made the brake in 2000 to become professional Fine Artist. Inspired by the Antiquity and the Middle-Ages which she says, "...offer a cornucopia of beautiful fragments, impressive friezes and frescos, grandiose buildings and ancient fragments with Latin inscriptions and ornaments.", she also takes reference from "…an inexhaustible source of captivating poems works of well-known poets and philosophers like for instance Ovid, Pliny and Vergil." She then adapts these fragments and texts in her own unique way and brings them to life on the canvas. Anne Vibeke Lauridsen has had numerous exhibitions across Denmark and Sweden. She has works in public and private collections in Denmark and abroad.
