Fascinated by symbolisium, Pascale Hulin refers to his work as, 'high relief symbolic explorations'. Using a variety of mediums, Hulin begins the first stage of his work by building and collaging, 'found elements', together. Collected over a period of time and on numerous walks through the countryside these elements establish a backdrop to the next stage of his creative process. "Then a new period begins with the giving up of the object for the subject: the maze." Hulin says, explaining "A way opens to symbolic exploration in my artwork. My painting is then fuelled with myths, and gives life to an artistic expression which reveals a deeper quest."
