Marilyn Southey is a figurative artist working in a variety of mediums and subjects. Marilyn spent her childhood among the goldmines of Central Africa and at sixteen moved to London to study architecture and art, at Hornsey College of Art and The University of Westminster, London. Her works, which include portraits, country and urbanscapes, seascapes, wildlife and life studies, have been exhibited in the South of England including; The Mall Galleries' annual open exhibitions of the Royal Society of Oil Painters, The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour the National Print Exhibitions, The Bankside Gallery open exhibition of the Royal Watercolour Society and The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Marilyn has also exhibited at several venues in France including the Triennale Chamalières International Print Exhibition and in the two principal cities in Zimbabwe, Africa.
