Andres Jaroslavsky was born in Argentina in 1970. He has been painting and drawing professionally since 2002. His first exhibition was held at the City Screen, York, in January 2003. His second exhibition was at Melton's Too in York in April 2003; it was called "The kitchen" and included a group of eight paintings and drawings representing kitchen scenes. In July 2003 he began a series of three exhibitions jointly with the artist Malcolm Ludvigsen. The first such exhibition was held in the Chapel at York Cemetery. The second exhibition took place in October at the Mulberry Bush Gallery, in York. At the same time Andres received a commission for a mural for the newly opened restaurant “The Olive Tree”. The last exhibition is currently taking place at King's Manor, part of the University of York, until March 2004.
