Kate Montgomery's paintings are concerned with personal narratives past, present and future.
'...these paintings make use of interior and exterior space, a kind of oneiric architecture, with inset coigns and alcoves, rooms within rooms, recessions and projections of space, concealments and revelations, rhythm and syncopation. The implied static present of the picture plane is intriguingly fractured into different time zones which admit both personal and impersonal history, domestic as well as tidal or planetery motion.' - Jamie McKendrick
