My name is Jaroslaw Ancuta. As far as I can remember I always drew and painted.
Consequently, at the age of 15 I started my proper art education. For the first 5 years (1984-1989) it was the Art College in Kolo (Poland) and after that I mastered my skills simultaneously at A.Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Art branch in Kalisz; graduated in 1995 with a Masters Degree under prof.A.Niekrasz) and in Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (graduated in 1996 with a Masters Degree under prof.A.Klimczak-Dobrzaniecki).
For many years after my education I worked as an animator for "Semafor" and "Europa" film studios in Lodz. I also taught art in the Art College in Lodz and in the Art College in Kolo, plus I worked as a graphic artist for "Angora"-weekly newspaper in Lodz.
In my imaginary world weirdness, beauty and satire are mixed together. Soft but intense contour and colour play the main role in my paintings, while detailed precision is the main feature in my drawings.
