The canvas frame of reference allows me the ability to edit what i see into the horizontal and the vertical. Therefore giving me the ability to idealise my surroundings using geometry. Interior spaces have a cubic depth and play against the flatness of pattern through line. This play, which is also realised through colour and tone, provokes memory and association thereby feeding back into real life. I am seduced by the relationship between mundane space and its bounded and constructed representation through painting. | |||||
