Damien Borowik is a French artist currently based in London. In his work, he looks at creative and experiential processes, where the shaping of media using specific tools informs the aesthetics of the art as experience, creating contemplative environments where the audience can emotionally engage.
After graduating from a scientific baccalaureat specialised in mathematics in 1995 (Besançon, France), Damien went on to study applied arts for one year at the ENSAAMA in Paris, where he learned to visually manipulate various medium. After further studies for two years in a specialised diploma in visual communication, he carried with a degree in graphic design at Central Saint Martins in 2001 (London, UK), where he has been teaching as an associate lecturer in interactive design between 2002 and 2010.
Recently, Damien has furthered his practice while studying on the MA Computational Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he has learned to formulate and develop his own interests in perceptual experience, through creative processes and aesthetics of the art of making.
