One-day art workshop for the NAGC, an organization that runs a programme for bright children. 2008 "The Big Draw in the Museum at SPRI was great fun, the theme was 'The Worst Journey in the World', and children and parents spent hours drawing and painting on the long frieze, and cutting snowflakes out of paper which we hung off a long Nanson sledge attached to the ceiling. In the evening we both gave talks on being artists in the Arctic". Joint Exhibition with Chris Furse at Scott Polar Research Institute (SPRI), Cambridge, 29th September to 8th November, and The big Draw 25th October. 6 weeks lecturing on the expedition ship MV Polar Star, Arctic. . Four page feature Artists & Illustrators magazine January 08 edition. 2007 Finalist in Artist & Illustrator Self Portrait competition October 2007 Vikky won a 2 month Artist Residency in Antarctica 2006/7 (one month Quark/Theme ,One month Polar Star) CV Since 2000 Vikky has been working on a series of Arctic paintings based on her field sketches. First travelling in and around Svalbard in Summer by Russian Icebreakers,& Zodiacs. Then in the Winters of 2003/04/07 and Autumn 05 sketching & painting in NE Greenland, travelling with Inuit hunters and their dog teams. Vikky has been invited to give workshops in the school, and hopes to return in 2008 to work on a portrait project.
