Helen Juste has been working as a sculptor since graduating, her work is mainly figuratively based, with the human figure being a fundamental point of reference.
Each sculpture works on many differant levels,firstly in a formal aestheitc sense, abstracted in an attempt to achieve the essence of a relationship and the purest representaion. Helen also seeks to explore concepts such as society, individuality and the nature of the human condition .The family taking on a broader ideology, representing the notion of society and the idea that a united humanity can overcome inequality. Her work also focuses on notions of vulnerability and strength, bringing these two characteristics together to create completion.
Helen works mainly in clay and plaster,with the evolving artwork being cast into bronze or a variety of contemporary materials. Her work is available in small limited editions in a variety of materials.
