I re-create film stills and portraits of celebrities out of glitter. I've always been fascinated by celebrities, particularly those with mass appeal, and cult status. I love the whole pop-star thing, popular musicals and film icons. I use glitter because it is fun. It allows me to create work in my own way. Glitter compliments the glitzy, glam lifestyles that we associate with the rich and famous. My pictures literally sparkle, revelling in camp and kitsch . With additional lighting, the effects are incredible.
