Gary is a New Zealand born, self taught artist and has a passion for realism in his art, whether the medium be pen & ink, acrylics or oils. Gary has worked at the New Zealand Herald for 30 years, working on cutaway graphics, cartoons and daily newspaper graphics.
He received the finalist award in the 2005 Qantas Media Awards for Graphic Artist of the Year, and the Telecom (New Zealand) Book award in 1994.
Gary is now pursuing his passion for his art full time and has released these wonderful acrylic bird paintings on canvas. I hope you enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed watching Gary create them.
