Janice E. Nelson
Born in Worcester, MA, USA on October 1, 1943
During some of the more troubled times in my life, I experienced two very vivid dreams, one in 1981 and the other in 1986, both of which define my work.
In the 1981 dream,I envisioned a Bright Light and a Flaming Dove emerging from the Light heading to earth.
In the 1986 dream, I envisioned a most Perfect Hand reaching down through the Light to an uplifted crippled hand. The words that came to me in this dream were:
"A crippled world reaching for strength and hope."
"The Artistic Gift is a Double-Edged Sword; Its Bright Light pierces your Soul."
"Only when you truly give of yourself, unselfishly, humbly and totally will you experience the release from Bondage."
Ever since I experienced those profound dreams, I've been continually seeking to recapture that Light.
I paint with my Soul so that others may find the Light.
