I work on a small scale primarily in the precious metals and gemstones that reflect my training as a Goldsmith. My pieces are either literal studies of living creatures or biomorphic forms that, while abstract nevertheless refer to, or evoke, living forms such as plants or simple animals.
The implausible weight of the precious metal and tactile qualities of the sculptures can be explored to help relieve stress or inspire positive thought.
All of my sculptures are robust enough to be carried around in a bag or pocket and many can be worn as elaborate pieces of contemporary jewellery.
I trained as a Goldsmith and attended Epsom Art School to study design.
I have received several awards for my work including winning the Platinum Design Innovation Award and having pieces featured in the Goldsmiths' Craft & Design awards and last three Tahitian pearl trophies.
