BACKGROUND - Born Richard David Feinman May 18, 1969 Akron Ohio. - BA- Fine Art Painting- Kent State University,USA, 1995 - MA- Exhibition Design – University, of N. John Lennon – 1968 ARTIST STATEMENT - feinart I paint to teach others how to view life on a different plane; exercising their own interpretations to see through layers of paint. Like a mirror my work reflects the subconscious guided by my introspection. I work and think on an advanced level of painting using a myriad of different psychological aspects that are not always visible through the naked eye. I use psychology of colour and colour combinations as a mean to set the mood of the piece. I base my work on several relationship issues such as: subject matter, colour and mostly interaction between the piece and the viewer. When at work, I clear my head of racing thoughts of past, present and future to capture a moment of peace within my mind. I control the pace of my work. Unlike a photograph, I am not painting a frozen moment in time but creating a different time and place all together.
