An award winning copywriter and graphic designer he has now taken to painting as a means of refreshing the flow of the creative juices; a new challenge with totally different pressures.
He studied art under Annette Johnson, triple exhibitor at the Royal Academy, and with the Blackheath Conservatoire.
The collection ‘Old Age has laid her hands on me’ is a series of watercolours illustrating how everyday objects, just like many fortunate people, acquire character, warmth and a certain endearment with age and use. Rather than ravage them, age has laid a tender, loving hand on them.
A new pair of gloves on the shop counter, for example, has no life and little endearment. Several years of hard toil however brings life and character to them and the promise of many a tale to tell.
