I was brought up in the lively town of Penzance in Cornwall and the inspiration for my art comes from a life of beachcombing in West Cornwall. A lot of the media I use is what I have found on those beaches. I like to use recycled products where possible and am lucky to have so many varied treasures on my doorstep.
I completed a photography course in my early twenties but became absorbed in gardening and running an outdoor seating company for festivals. This led to my having an outlet for my art. I started mosaicing in 2000, drawing inspiration from Kaffe Fassett and spent 3 years on the festival circuit. I have since moved to the arty community of Mousehole in Cornwall and am currently creating artwork with driftwood, seaglass and recycled plates. I am also an avid photographer and am inspired by the beauty in this part of the world, particularly by the ocean, boats, the fishing environment and by plants and flowers. I am happy to take commissions should you have anything in mind and I hope that you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
