Being born and brought up on the north coast of Cornwall gave me an early exposure to the many visiting artists and this strongly influenced me towards my lifelong career.
On leaving school I studied briefly at the Bournemouth College of Art but soon decided that experience was the best teacher so started work as a commercial artist.
In my early twenty's I moved to South Africa where I was to live for 23 years. I worked my way up to becomming Art Director with a large newspaper group and also worked for various national and international advertising agencies.
I have exhibited in many top exhibitions on both England and abroad including being accepted at the Royal Society of Marine Artists in the Mall Gallery London on my very first submission(a rare achievement).
For the last ten years I am living and painting in Japan.
