I am a mixed - media artist combining printmaking techniques with sculpture. My present work concerns family memories and the importance of household artefacts with their ability to conjure up childhood memories. While sorting through family belongings after the death of my parents, I realised how emotive each object had become . This process took me on a journey from my grandparents Jewishroots in the early 1900's continuing to my parents childhood and subsequently my own. My work visually links this journey alongside family reminiscences through a collage of found and constructed artefacts, family documents, photographs and drawings , and are displayed and 3d boxed wall pieces.
