Artists CV    artwork
Andi Williams

I am a self taught artist who has been experimenting with various techniques over the last 25 years, mainly on a trial and error basis, learning and developing as I have gone along, my art evolving and changing. Nowadays I am very happy with doing my abstract technique of pouring, dripping, splattering etc. I find it a very simplistic approach to Art but I think my experience, control of the paint (sometimes) and eye allow me to create something very unique. I have recently been experimenting with digital artwork on photoshop and other art software, again creating unique artworks from my imagination, some of them of which are available on here as top quality prints. My artworks are one-offs, something conjured up in my creative psyche with no reference, I go with an idea and use my intuition often. I also add my personality, everyday incidents, words from song lyrics, world events, my moods and observations and incorporate them into the art. What I mean by evolve is that I can have an idea in my head then the flowing paints unpredictability changes the initial idea, thus evolving into something else, which is sometimes fun and challenging but nearly always gives great results, it's art improvisation in a way. I love it and am creating some great work lately because of it's spontaneous nature, I hope you agree. Most of my artwork comes rolled up delivered in a postal tube (some are framed; it states on the medium/materials used section) which cuts down costs all round which reflects in my prices for very large canvas's, reduces risk of damage in transit and allows the client to choose the framing style etc. London Art has a framing service too I believe. My artworks are mostly thick impasto paintwork and are best framed stuck on a board, a professional framer will have no problem in framing stuck on a board and mounted in a contemporary tray type frame etc., you will lose non of the full artwork by this method. I have exhibited all over Yorkshire as well as the www, also the Bank Side Gallery London where one of my artworks was chosen and published for the mental health charity MIND'S Millennium calendar. I have a book and an e-book published of my best artwork over the years, it's entitled Andy's Art and can be found at blurb dot co dot uk Some of the prints on here are of original artworks I have sold already, I'm selling them in a limited edition of 100 thanks, andy.
