Colour, picture construction and composition have been major preoccupations in all my work. My Paintings have moved back and forth, over the years, between figurative and abstract themes, with influences of Constructivism, Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art showing in the work. Recent work has been inspired by close observation of the figure and its relation to the surrounding environment.
