| A figurative painter specializing in acrylic, Katarzyna Ilyszyn predominantly draws with paint. Entangled in an intricate use of frenetic line and complex colour formations her figures seem to undulate between the background and the foreground, emerging into the composition only to be swallowed again. Katarzyna was born in 1978 in the Silesia Region of Poland and now lives in Cracow, Poland. After completing her education at The State High School of Arts in Dabrowa Gornicza in 1998, she graduated from the University of Silesia, Fine Art Painting, in 2004. |
