| Born in 1979 Toni Cogdell is a young and undoubtedly talented painter. By perceptively observing how our physical appearance is affected by our inner thoughts, Toni Cogdell ambitiously seeks to capture the intangible moments of human reflection. The experience of being abandoned in our own thoughts and emotions, however fleeting, is one that we are all familiar with. Cogdell's paintings powerfully reflect how that moment of absorption manifests itself in our physical and bodily appearance and in doing so allows the viewer an ephemeral glimpse into the human soul. Toni Cogdell has works in private collections in the UK and regularly exhibits across the South of England. |
