My abstract paintings have been termed “flamboyant” by the Preston Catalogue, “life-affirming” by sculptor Bruce Flowers and “juicy” by Cambridge Library & Gallery Director Mary Misner.
I paint fluid, tactile and emotional works. Drawing upon the pastoral, architectural and sensory experiences I interact with daily, I have broken down traditional landscape objects and my emotional reaction to them into geometric shapes constructed of color and texture. They are captured on canvas in a play of shapes and color. These collage elements of the mind encompass reality and emotions intertwined.
