| Irum Iftikhar uses a variety of different painting techniques which she mixes with tactile materials like threads, embroidery and beads to create fantasy worlds and landscapes which recall a lost golden age. "My work is escapism. It is primarily a reflection of my inner peace and happiness," she writes. "Having a background as an interior designer my passion lies in creating an environment that is serene, harmonious and away from the every day stresses and strains of life." |
