| If the hippies had won the war, flags of the world would look like this. Nick Gregson's paintings depict a pyschedelic rollercoaster, which calls to mind the energy of young love. By combining straight edges with free form, curtains and the horizon, Gregson sets the stage for dramatic combinations of colour and feeling. Whether mixing the blissful yellows and blues of summer or the purples and greens of birthday fireworks, the artist creates images that are both abstract and organic.
