Trilby donned characters make phone calls, ignoring or unaware of the femme fatal watching closely with her shoulder suggestively exposed. A couple walks along seaside promenades, but is it their love keeping them warm or does the restless weather represent an unknown trauma unfolding? Heavily stylised characters play chess in a desert landscape or light cigarettes, delighted with the attention they are receiving from the scooter riding local girls. This work is deeply atmospheric, with small details creating wider questions about the characters and their world.
