Having studied science she now uses acrylics to create stunning works of texture and colour that demand closer inspection. Resembling computer sequences or magnified sections from graphs, these works are simultaneously contemporary and stylish. Hughes blends reds, greys and blacks to make images that are as aesthetically pleasing as they are loftily inspired. |
