| My name is Paul Shiers and I paint predominantly in acrylic and oil on canvas.
There are lots of ways that I find inspiration for a painting but often find that the more free your mind is when you approach a new painting, the more interesting and exciting the result is. For me painting is not about creating an image of something, it is about conveying simple emotions on canvas. I am interested in bringing tone and colour through different layers of paint and creating atmosphere and depth in my work.
