| Gordon Faulds (b1957 Paisley, Scotland) studied at Bath Academy of Art and Lancaster College (Preston Poly) (1976-1980) A graduate from the unique Fine Art fusion that existed at Lancaster, during the late 1970’s, Faulds has pursued a career that has seen him working historically, as Vintage Rag Trader at Portobello Road Market in London, to popular Hoxton DJ and Editor and Publisher of seminal Shoreditch magazine during the 1990’s. His work embraces Landscape, Still life and figuration, which is reflected in his exhibition space spanning, seascapes to portraiture. Influenced by Andrew Wyeth, Barbara Rae, Michael Porter, amongst others, he is “…drawn, towards objects and experiences that occupy the margins, the boundaries of value or sensation.” |
