Toni Cogdell

Born in 1979 Toni Cogdell is a young and undoubtedly talented painter. By perceptively observing how our physical appearance is affected by our inner thoughts, Toni Cogdell ambitiously seeks to capture the intangible moments of human reflection. The experience of being abandoned in our own thoughts and emotions, however fleeting, is one that we are all familiar with. Cogdell's paintings powerfully reflect how that moment of absorption manifests itself in our physical and bodily appearance and in doing so allows the viewer an ephemeral glimpse into the human soul. Toni Cogdell has works in private collections in the UK and regularly exhibits across the South of England.

 Carpin

Born in the Czech Republic in 1961, Carpin spent some of his most influential years in prison. Initially Carpin began to paint portraits of his room-mates and by using photographs of his relatives to perfect his techniques and skills he painted a collection of works which ran in to the hundreds. Before going to prison Carpin worked as a Forestry Manager. His love for nature and the landscape began to creep in to his paintings. Using his memories and emotions of the 'outside world' he began to place his figures within specific environments. This in turn gave narrative and context to his work and led him to develop his own unique painting style. Since leaving prison Carpin exhibits across the Czech Republic and his work is held in many private collections across the country.
