Chris OConnor

Swirling, smoky, risings of colour twist and twirl around the canvas in these emotional, passionate works of art. The reds and greys gather like the billows of a volcano or the darkening sky of a storm at sunset, swamping the works with a dark atmosphere. These are not downbeat paintings though, but organic, impassioned, living works with hidden faces and deceptive depths. Inspired by the big events in life that we all go through, O’Connor creates artworks that speak to the raw, bleeding feelings of the human heart. Never less than moving, the painter deserves praise for the works he has created already and we, at LondonArt, look forward to bringing you more in the future.

Nusret Orcan

Nusret Orcan is a Turkish artist with a great love of Impressionism. Like Renoir and Seurat he finds inspiration in music and dancers, interpreting their movement as free-flowing forms across the canvas. There are also sentimental garden scenes, so beloved of the earlier Impressionists. But it is perhaps his rendering of scenes in Turkey that give a special frisson. To see Istanbul in the evening, or its magnificant station building at the water's edge imbued with the soft treatment of light that this style affords, is both an art connoisseur and tourist's delight.

Michael Ostromooukhov

Located somewhere realism and expressionism, Michael Ostromooukhov's nudes are unconventional to say the least. The brushwork has a freedom about it, a real looseness; whilst the colour combinations are on occasion vividly bright, marking a defintie departure form the sedate classical nude. Even "Melancholy", which appears staue-like, is uncanny in the way it morphs statuary with the human female form.
