Wayne Robinson

"The sharp, splintered forms of the woodcut process allow me to render images free of the tethers of sentiment and allow atmosphere and mood to predominate. I choose to execute my images on planks of wood that already wear the scars of use and have their own history ingrained in their surface. Careful selection of primary materials combined with the action of gutting and carving allow an unlimited vocabulary of additive and subtractive marks to make stark, dramatic, black and white imagery as well as supporting veils of colour and texture."

Sally Gatie

Sally Gatie hopes to reflect a sense of hope and peace within her work. Sally paints her children while they are asleep, showing them in a natural state of peace. "While working on a painting my thoughts drift into another time and place where everything makes sense…all my questions are answered. It leaves me with the feeling that everything is fine, and everything will be fine. The painting then becomes a map of my life and the problems within the painting are waiting to be solved". Sally works from her studio in Scarborough and exhibits throughout the UK.

Rudolf Kosow

Rudolf Kosow was born in Kazachstan in 1972 and for the last fourteen years has lived and worked in Stuttgard, Germany. Rudolf is a still life and figurative painter working in oil on canvas. His work aims to produce a sense of calm, harmony and rest within the viewer, only achievable through a pictorial clarity that reflects a confident master. His natural talent and ability allows us to clear our minds of the everyday, and encourages us to interpret the work in a way unique to ourselves.

Toni Cogdell

Born in 1979 Toni Cogdell is a young and undoubtedly talented painter. By perceptively observing how our physical appearance is affected by our inner thoughts, Toni Cogdell ambitiously seeks to capture the intangible moments of human reflection. The experience of being abandoned in our own thoughts and emotions, however fleeting, is one that we are all familiar with. Cogdell's paintings powerfully reflect how that moment of absorption manifests itself in our physical and bodily appearance and in doing so allows the viewer an ephemeral glimpse into the human soul. Toni Cogdell has works in private collections in the UK and regularly exhibits across the South of England.
