Howard Wolf

A talent for drawing was evident from early childhood, but like many children of his era, The Second World War changed the natural progression of his life. After a number of distinguished years of National Service in the Royal Navy as an Engineering Officer, Wolf began a civilian career as an International Executive. After resigning from the position to follow his heart, Wolf has been a professional painter for over twenty years. An eclectic and energetic approach has resulted in a large collection of drawings and paintings. The human figure has been a dominant aspect, with increasing emphasis on movement and dancing. In the last decade the landscape, particularly Provence, has been a huge inspiration to him. Howard Wolf has exhibited across London and has numerous works in private collection held in the UK.

Nicholas  Wright

Nicholas Wright produces these energetic and colourful scenes of bustling street activity. Using black Pen and ink, Nicholas then superimposes, using the geometric forms of the street architecture as his guide, a free hand lattice of thin delicate line, extending across the canvas in all directions. This creates not only a sense of perspective but also has a dramatic effect on our impression of the scale within each work.

Miroslav Yotov

Miroslav Yotov's ambitious style of painting sets realistic human figures in constructed, imaginative scenarios whose elements are nevertheless clearly seen and delineated. Spatially experimental, the works adhere to naturalistic textures but colour is used in a more emotional, expressive way. Towards the painting's edge, paint becomes less concrete, becoming cloud- like or flattening out completely. The eye of the viewer is led around the composition by way of various diagonal lines to create a dynamic composition. Grand symbols from Classical art such as nudes, drapes or statuary are combined with everyday symbols: a chair, a bathroom mirror or saxophone; giving the works a more contemporary feel. Yet the effect created is one of a grand Romantic drama of epic proportions.

J Youngerman

Fresh from exhibiting alongside some of the biggest names in contemporary art, Youngerman now brings his striking take on Pop Art to LondonArt. Taking contemporary themes and emotions and portraying them through an arresting style he creates works which are both modern and timeless. Endlessly inspired by the notion of language as art, this painter expresses the inner thoughts of his subjects in a way reminiscent of cartoons and contemporary adverts. The ultra close ups he uses are perfect for emphasising the human emotion behind the drama of relationships and break ups. Anyone can understand the heartbreak of his characters as theirs is a universal pain. Emotional, yet incredibly attractive to look at, this is art full of glamour, beautiful girls and not-so-subtle suggestion. Grab an instant slice of Pop Art cool with these wonderful works. At LondonArt we are very much looking forward to seeing what this artist does next.

Bogdan Zagan

By restraining his palette and only using muted tones of grey, black and white, Zagan manages to craft immensely striking works that stand out from the crowd. Always atmospheric, these pictures are snapshots of a moment that leave the viewer guessing what has, or will, happen. Impassioned embraces show the twin emotions of desire and desperation, card players throw in their hand and Jazz singers look on knowingly. The beauty of these works lies in the suggestion. Every detail counts and ever slight glance is loaded with meaning. Dancing couples spend blissful moments in each otherís company as faceless pianists play on into the night. There is so much going on in these works it is difficult to take it all in. Incredibly stylish, these would paintings would suit the right home or business property.
