Steve Burns

Steve Burns's paintings remind us all of the beauty which surrounds us every day. His series of 'tree and sky' paintings reflect the simply beauty found in nature. Steve uses a variety of mediums, including fabric paint, metal leafing and lacquer on canvas. "Within the confines of the canvas each work portrays an individual balance between the abstracted and observed. In each piece I try to create a compositional harmony between areas of complexity and simplicity." Steve Burns. Steve's use of acute perspectives against dramatic skies elegantly echoes the magnificence and maturity of his subject and reflects his own evolving talents.

maxine byron

By using a mixture of techniques and methods, Maxine Bryon is able to craft a wide and interesting portfolio that captured our imagination at LondonArt. By using a photograph as inspiration, she twists and manipulates the image in order to make paintings that resonate with a depth of colour that strikes the audience. Her work wonderfully captures the way in which light can bounce and distort around an image and create a multitude of impressions within the same picture. Having exhibited repeatedly over the past few years, her work has gained a wide interest and this has lead to her to offer a commissions service. If you like artwork with an interesting, contemporary angle and appreciate a rich, colourful canvass, take a look though this collection and be prepared to be impressed. Byron is a gifted artist and we are delighted to show her work to our customers around the world.

jmj chalin

French artist JMJ Chalin studied art in Hungary and Rouen and has been producing art for many years. Her dynamic works pulse with energy and ideas. Twisting, contorted shapes coalesce, from figures into landscape into plant forms, in a Surrealist manner. Attenuated figures seem to question their existence and the more you look, the more you see in her bold compositions. She says, "ART is an emotion i translate in colour so it can be seen".

Colin Chan

A self taught artist, C Chan//chan 10, draws his inspiration from the hustle and bustle of London's city streets. Mainly working in black and white his work hopes to reflect the "harsh reality of life in the city". Chan adds, "In many cases there is no compromise, no grey area; you win or lose, succeed or fail, it can be an unforgiving place to live. The rich and poor live side by side". Believing that a, "city is defined by the people who live and work within it", C Chan//chan 10 seeks to find harmony and balance. "In combining the freedom and fluidity of abstract oil painting with the precision and discipline of intricately cut stencils I find that I can express two opposite sides of my personality, whilst also interpreting the complex environment in which I live onto canvas."
