Christopher Ludwin

As an architect and a drawing teacher at the Architecture Faculty at Krakow Polytechnic, Christopher mastered sketch drawing. His passion for architectural form combined with his favourite technique, watercolour, results in the impressionistic images of cities. Christopher paints places that have caught his attention or charmed him in some way. It might be a café in beautiful Krakow or an old building in a London street. The choice stays a mystery for a recipient unless you can associate with it somehow. An emotion, a memory, a ray of sunshine, or perhaps a moment of received news may trigger Christopher to paint a specific location. He is interested in the relation between light and colour and their ability to create a specific atmosphere. The fluidity of watercolour seems to be the perfect medium for Christopher to capture these moments.

Constantine  Lykiardopoulos

Constantine Lykiardopoulos is inspired by a passion for architecture and the imagery of his native Greece. However, his distinctive townscapes with their warped perspectives are born out of his imagination rather than directly representational. Since moving to SE England, his work has been represented by the Battersea contemporary Art Fair, the Kingston Comtemporary Open and the Stanley Picker Gallery.

Steven Lynch

Steven Lynch is a UK artist who mainly works in oil on canvas. His work is predominantly figurative although he also produces wonderfully expressive seascapes, landscapes and cityscapes. Steven Lynch has his work in private collections throughout the UK. Whether he is creating provocative, affordable street art, or working on his series of beach dwelling characters, he creates skillful and attractive work that is reasonably priced. In other work he paints the everyday, some might say mundane, objects of the modern world in a nostalgic way. One of our best selling artists, we look forward to representing Lynch for a long time to come.

Brooke Major

By limiting herself to a single colour and bold, striking images, this artist has put together a collection of work which is both remarkable and beautiful. The viewer is drawn in by the uniqueness of these paintings and takes a while to admire the skilled detail of the horses, skulls and humans on display. When she adds a second colour it serves to warm the image and add a vivid warmth to the interesting texture and block colour scheme. At LondonArt we think that the right buyer will fall in love with these works and start a collection. Call Paul if you are that buyer.

Sally Maltby

These accomplished images, inspired by the variety of texture in geological cliff formations, are sensitively rendered in gouache and watercolour. Sally's unique approach is both representational in that it resembles the subject matter, yet abstract in that it refers to different ways of apprehending the land such as Ordnance Survey contour maps. The chequered effect also brings to mind more scientific visions on graph paper and fossils embedded therein.

Marcia Mar

The work of Marcia Mar is vibrant and full of life, made up of dancing atoms and pulsating brushstrokes. She uses a variety of mixed media applied with a scumbling, dry paint method to form the image. Sometimes the paint is applied in what is almost a pointillist or aboriginal dotting approach. The work has a tribal feel to it and is a mixture of both the figurative and the abstract. The restricted colour palette, creates emphasis on the pattern and magical trance-like content of the images.
