Jeanette Buckley

With inspiration coming from both urban and rural settings, Jeanette Buckley paints the world as it feels. As an endlessly inquisitive artist, she uses the cities and countryiside of her northern home to find colours and patterns to create interesting artworks. In some paintings she cretaes figurative abstractions that capture the bohemian atmosphere of bottle-littered Amsterdam bars. In others it is the icy trees and low lying sun of a winter's scene; days when the air feels tight against your skin. Often, she moves into complete abstraction, creating sunswept, intense vibes that glisten with inner warmth. By using the key figures of 20th Century art as a starting point, Buckley creates warm and affecting works that would grace any room.

"Within the confines of the canvas each work portrays an individual balance between the abstracted and observed. In each piece I try to create a compositional harmony between areas of complexity and simplicity." Steve Burns. Steve's use of acute perspectives against dramatic skies elegantly echoes the magnificence and maturity of his subject and reflects his own evolving talents.

Gerard Byrne

Dubliner Gerard Byrne is a self-taught painter and electrician. In recent years he has enjoyed considerable commercial success as a painter and has sold work to the Guiness Collection as well as the Department of Justice, Foreign Affairs and, naturally, the Electricity Supply Board! He regularly exhibits at the Gorry gallery in Dublin and has shown in New York and Berlin. Byrne uproarious, often satirical social scenes are painted from the imagination using catalogues as a reference for faces. His landscapes, street scenes, charcoal drawings and still life reveal a different sensibility; a careful observationist and chronicler of life as he sees it. He cites his influences as Sean Scully, Van Gogh, Gaugin and Matisse.

maxine byron

By using a mixture of techniques and methods, Maxine Bryon is able to craft a wide and interesting portfolio that captured our imagination at LondonArt. By using a photograph as inspiration, she twists and manipulates the image in order to make paintings that resonate with a depth of colour that strikes the audience. Her work wonderfully captures the way in which light can bounce and distort around an image and create a multitude of impressions within the same picture. Having exhibited repeatedly over the past few years, her work has gained a wide interest and this has lead to her to offer a commissions service. If you like artwork with an interesting, contemporary angle and appreciate a rich, colourful canvass, take a look though this collection and be prepared to be impressed. Byron is a gifted artist and we are delighted to show her work to our customers around the world.
