Wojciech Babski

The work of Wojciech Babski has a rugged, almost heroic, iconic masculinity to it. The faces and bodies of women and men appear as if in bold, with no compromise. Painted in rough hewn strokes in black and white, the colours which on the one hand either seep into or rather dominate his monochromatic underpainting style, tend to be primaries. These contribute to the unflinchingly direct effect of his work. The main themes appear to be anxiety and passion with occasional moments of peace. But as in the case of "Pale Rider" this is a calm that is just about to" kick off".

Liz Balogh

By looking into her soul and painting the scene with a creative flair, Balogh creates work that can compare against the best in this genre. Her still life artworks depict all manner of creatures and scenes from nature, especially from the idyllic countryside in Scotland. She combines the exquisite blues, yellows and purples in order to create wonderful images of the landscape and its joyful inhabitants. These are incredible works of technique with each petal and blade of grass captured perfectly and with a skilled hand. The rolling glens and valleys look incredibly inviting to the viewer and would decorate any home. When Balogh turns her hand to capturing flowers, she succeeds in creating beautiful, intricate and lively images. The leaves she paints glow with the warmth of a sunny day and each detail comes to life within the image. Already a big success in her native Hungry, we are delighted to show her art on this site. We hope you enjoy looking through her work.

Michael Barrow

Michael Barrow is concerned with the human traces and shaping of the landscape. How we view it, frames and defines it. His images cause one to consider the implications of how we see: whether that means gazing up at the channel of sky between the branches of a tree, squatting at the ground level of splashing forest stream rapids or staring from outside in the cold through a steamy window at the warmth inside.

Scott Bartha

Scott Bartha’s recent series of work was inspired by his travels throughout Australia and New Zealand. Rather than taking photographs of his explorations, Scott Bartha uses his memory to record specific places, smells, emotions and experiences. Allowing these memories to ruminate within his mind and by using prompts to help him, he then translates these memories on to the canvas at a later date.

Sally Barton

Sally Barton's expertise in the medium of watercolour is evident in the variety of images she shows on Londonart. "The Society Page" is an experimental and humorous use of this traditional medium. By rendering the laughing figures in black and white, she seems to question the function of such reportage and indeed such events.

Imran Bashir

Imran Bashir's work seeks to reflect the beauty and spirituality of life. Drawing on the intensity of colours found in nature his work marvels at the power and magnificence of the world; the sun setting in the sky, the beauty of the landscape. Bashir strives to reflect his own set of beliefs through paint and in doing so hopes to make us question our own beliefs and notions of the afterlife.... "The images are trying to show the beauty of this world and how people are caught up with it. Yet there are some who know that the real life and life of eternity is in the hereafter and they must follow the correct way and be content with what they have and make preparations for the journey of the hereafter. "Imran Bashir is based in London where he lives and paints.

Sarah Elizabeth Beaumont

Sarah Elizabeth Beaumont's unmistakable style is developed from an interest in distorted perspective and reflection. Many of her earlier works are autobiographical, taking themes from family and childhood. Born in London in 1969 and graduating in 1991 with a Fine Art Honours Degree (first class in painting), Beaumont began her professional career as an artist working to commission in the government and corporate sectors, executing large-scale murals and commemorative paintings. In the 1990s Beaumont was commissioned to design a series of postcards in collaboration with the British Post Office to coincide with philatelic launches. In 2000 she was elected to the Executive Committees of the National Acrylic Painters' Association (NAPA) and the National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers (NS). She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). Beaumont's works are held in private collections in Great Britain, France, Germany, USA, Canada and Australia and have been exhibited across London.
