Reg Eldridge - Drawings

Dating back over thirty years, this exhibition is a collection of unique Reg Eldridge drawings, some of which have never been seen to the public before. Initially exhibiting with the London group in the 50's and subsequently with the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Reg Eldridge exhibited with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters from the mid 70's - mid 90's. His work today still reflects his passion and talent for capturing the human form and condition.

Ross Ellis

The work of Ross Ellis is thought provoking and highly focused. Working in ink, pastel and pencil, there is a quiet intensity to the figurative pencil drawings and an exploration of the relations between viewer and subject. His arresting drawings emphasise the latent geometries within the human form. The 'Blue Eryngium' works are labour intensive and literally fascinating; affording their viewer no end of patient scrying as they reveal forms hidden within.

Graeme Evelyn

Londonart is most proud to welcome to its roster an artist with a fascinating CV whose powerful work is critically acclaimed. Graeme Evelyn's work is historically important in the way it enables new audiences to question institutional spaces such as churches, cathedrals and museums. His work has been collected by prestigious institutions such as Gloucester Cathedral, African American Center Princeton University, Cornell University NY and the Museum in Docklands London. Currently researching and developing in collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces and The Royal Collection, a major project for Kensington Palace for 2013, this is a significantly collectable artist.

Adriana Eyzaguirre

The colour scheme is perhaps the main carrier of the unusual painting sensibilities of Adriana Eyzaguirre. Minty aqua greens, coupled with turquoise, mauve and sand make for a sensitive, almost feminine domestic world. Her use of birds such as bullfinches and blue tits as subject matter along with vegetables in still lives, all serve to combine to evoke a shimmering heat haze of a sun-filled kitchen, where birds might fly in and out. Metaphors of domesticity and freedom abound in these delightful sensitive renderings of well-known objects, whose juxtaposition creates a unique twist.
