Elspeth Storrar

Floating somewhere between order, chaos, fantasy and dream, these striking photographs create an atmosphere of disjointed glamour. Beautiful revellers engage in midsummer mischief deep in the forest, far from prying eyes. A pondering girl in pink reclines softly on feathers, her skin blending with the dreamy setting. Storrar creates heavily stylised portraits of urban youths, their faces and headwear showing their positions in the modern tribes. It is easy to see that this artist comes from a background in fashion photography and uses this eye for detail and effortless style to create remarkable, iconic images.

Sturla  Strand

Sturla uses a mixture of techniques in creating his images. Some of them are developed in a traditional way, in a darkroom; others are played with by using Photoshop. Sturla prefers working with a photograph digitally, because it gives him overall control with the result and look of the work. He is interested in shapes, lines and shadows; generally speaking in a form of an object. His inspirations come from various motives and places; most of his shots are taken locally to his home, in Son, Norway.

Sandra  Von Haselberg

A two dimensional paper artist, Sandra Von Haselberg's work is created by pinning together tiny cut out forms of paper from photographs, magazines and newspapers. "Close up, each pinned up snippet of paper seems to be held up by its neighbour. From a distance what appears are fragile, floating, unsettled, 'worlds', which in their glass cases appear safe, captured, immobilised, yet threatening to disintegrate if their containers were removed."To fully appreciate Sandra's work you really do need to use our 'Big Image' facility. To do this, please click on one of her images, Sphere I is a great example to use, and then scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will then see a button called 'Big Image'. Please click on this feature to properly appreciate the amount of work and attention to detail Sandra gives to each individual work.

Edita  Voveryte

Sometimes the most powerful images are the ones that sit in the back of the mind or the corner of the eye. The photography of Edita Voveryte skillfully captures the floating, fleeting world of emotion by showing it through the changeble liquid shimmer of water. She shows portraits in puddles which hint at secrets and hidden desires. A water drop sits tantilisingly on cherry lips. Faces are hidden by the thin veil of a swimming pool or the murky depth of a pond, clothing ripples onwards and expressions are lost in the deep. This is photgraphy for dreamers and people who look for meaning beneath the surface.
