Angiolina Antolin

Angiolina Antolin lives and works in Spain and now divides her time between painting and teaching. Angoliolina’s use of mixed media to create a raw and tactile quality to her work cleverly accentuates her symbolic use of imagery. Each work containing symbols and icons that resemble and hint at an ancient language and personal vocabulary help to create these intriguing primal works.

Catherine Heard

While Catherine's condiment works look like random collections of kitchen basics, they are in fact psychological profiles of their owners - portraits that can tell us more about their subjects than more traditional head-and-shoulders daubs. She also captures the recognisable brands with loving attention to detail.

Katherine  Lubar

Lubar's glowing effervescent paintings create optical illusions of light and shadow. Often taking us through three or four stages and divisions of reality, she exhibits her work across London and America where her work is held in private collections. "My work takes as its subject light and shadow. The shape of a light pattern and the "negative" space surrounding it combine and interact with each other to form a geometrically interesting composition. Unnatural colours are used to create the feeling of light hitting the eye and sometimes dark and light tones are used together to give the feeling that the painting itself "glows" with its own light."
