As part of the nationwide Big Arts Week, Wendy Bond completed school workshops in June 2002, 2003 and 2004, making greetings cards with local school children.
She has taken part in group exhibitions held at Willesden library organised by Brent Artists Register, and in January 2004 she designed a 15 metre mural PEACE WALL which the local community of Willesden were invited to participate.
In October 2004, Wendy completed her solo exhibition PEACE REMAINS ELUSIVE at The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Fulham.
She has shown her work at Candid Arts in Islington in January 2005, and was chosen by London Art to exhibit two of her pieces at The gallery at oxo, on the Southbank in February as part of The Art of Love exhibition.
At the River Festival, Enfield, July 2005, Wendy decorated a PEACE TREE with a hanging garden of words, reflecting the agony of war and the optimism of Peace amongst unstable times. The PEACE TREE was repeated at the Respect Festival, Roundwood Park, Willesden in July . In March 2006 Wendy painted seven murals in the Winnicott Premature Baby Unit at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington. The Peace Tree was shown in 2006 at the Dreamweaver Festival, Gladstone park, NW10; the Respect Festival, and Queen's Park Day, NW6.
Wendy continues her work with words and toy soldiers.
